A board representative stated that sharing such content on social media constitutes a violation of the contract clause. Shortly after Virat Kohli shared his yo-yo test score on a social media platform, the Indian team’s management instructed players not to disclose their fitness scores publicly.

The directive reportedly originated from the top officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), as they were displeased with their prominent player revealing information deemed confidential. Kohli Posted on Instagram with caption: “The happiness of finishing the Yo Yo test between the dreaded cones. 17.2 don.”

In response to that BCCI responded: “Players have been informed verbally to avoid posting any confidential matter on social media platforms. They can post pictures while training but posting a score leads to breach of contract clause”

The Indian team’s administration is currently engaged in a six-day training camp that commenced on Thursday. On the first day, players participated in a yo-yo test to evaluate their individual fitness levels. Given their continuous involvement in cricket matches, the yo-yo scores can fluctuate. To address this, the team management has requested players to consistently meet the predetermined fitness standards.

Before the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, players who were assigned a 13-day fitness regimen will undergo a comprehensive physical assessment, including a blood test. Fitness trainers will evaluate their physical condition, and individuals failing to meet the set criteria will be addressed, as the BCCI is unwilling to risk anything with the imminent World Cup approaching.

Those players who came back from the West Indies and did not participate in the three-game T20I series in Ireland were instructed to adhere to a 13-day schedule. This group included Rohit Sharma, Kohli, all-rounders Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, as well as fast bowlers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj.

The fitness plan, divided into two segments with a day of rest in between, was meant to be followed from August 9th to August 22nd. Its purpose was to maintain each player’s optimal physical condition for the World Cup and to minimize the risk of injuries that could hinder India’s campaign.
