[WATCH] Asia Cup 2023: Virat Kohli Interacts With Budding Cricketers Ahead Of Pakistan Clash

Team India batter Virat Kohli is considered one of the modern game’s finest players and is an inspiration for aspiring cricketers worldwide. He was seen recently interacting and sharing some words of wisdom with budding cricketers during a practice session ahead of the crucial Super Four Asia Cup clash against arch-rivals Pakistan.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a video on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) of Virat Kohli’s interaction with the budding players. In the video, the Indian cricketer talks about the importance of preparation and fitness with the cricketers. He also spoke about the importance of working on small details to be a cut above the rest. The budding cricketers also clicked pictures with the batter and gifted him a silver bat.

Team India defeated Nepal in Match 5 of the Asia Cup 2023 to qualify for the Super Four stages. They finished second in Group A with three points from two matches. Their opening match against Pakistan ended with No Result due to rain. However, the arch-rivals will be facing each other in the Super Four stages on Sunday, September 10 in Colombo.

Virat Kohli aims to equal Ricky Ponting’s feat

Team India batter Virat Kohli has a stellar record in ODI cricket and has achieved great feats. He has a brilliant chance of accomplishing another achievement in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023. He has been a pillar for Team India at the No.3 batting position for the last decade.

Virat Kohli has scored 10781 runs batting at No.3 for India in 211 matches, at an average of 59.89, including 39 centuries and 55 fifties. He is just 219 runs away from completing 11000 runs in ODI cricket at No. 3. Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting is the only cricketer to achieve this feat. He has 12665 runs in 335 matches batting at No. 3 in ODI cricket for Australia.
