ICC Cricket Word Cup 2023: [WATCH] “Beti Ko Ghar Leke Jaana Hai Please” – Virat Kohli Asks Fans To Take Fewer Photos

Virat Kohli arrived at Mumbai airport ahead of the critical 2023 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.

India dominated the Netherlands, securing a convincing 160-run victory after an exceptional batting display and a comprehensive bowling performance, marking their ninth consecutive win in the 2023 World Cup.

In a video shared by renowned photojournalist Viral Bhayani on Instagram, Kohli politely asked fans not to take pictures with him near his car. He mentioned that his daughter Vamika had come to pick him up from the airport.

“Beti ko ghar leke jaana hai please (have to take the daughter home),” he said.

Virat Kohli secured an ODI wicket after a nine-year gap

Virat Kohli had the opportunity to bowl during the match against the Netherlands in Bengaluru on November 12. With concerns about limited bowling options due to Hardik Pandya’s injury, captain Rohit Sharma explored part-time bowlers as a potential option for the upcoming semifinal.

Kohli bowled three overs, conceding only 13 runs and taking the wicket of Scott Edwards. Edwards attempted to guide a leg-side delivery behind square, resulting in a faint edge caught brilliantly by KL Rahul.

The Bengaluru crowd, along with Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma, celebrated as Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, and Captain Rohit Sharma, among others, tried their hand at bowling.

Rohit claimed the last wicket, securing a perfect nine out of nine wins in the group stages. India has struggled in knockout stages in the past, and they aim to overcome this challenge when facing the Kiwis.

India’s 2023 World Cup Squad:

Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (wk), Mohammed Shami, KL Rahul (wk), Prasidh Krishna, Suryakumar Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Rohit Sharma (c), Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Ravichandran Ashwin.
