A young man found himself in police custody in Indore after successfully evading security measures to breach Holkar Cricket Stadium, where he managed to embrace India’s star batsman, Virat Kohli.
Amid a match, Kohli was stationed near the boundary rope when the man leapt over security barricades to reach the ground. Swift action by security personnel led to the immediate removal of the intruder, captured in widely circulated visuals on social media.
The footage depicts the audacious fan hugging Virat Kohli, while vigilant security officials attempt to apprehend him. Kohli appears bewildered as the security team escorts the intruder away. Subsequently, the man was detained by the police and taken to the Tukoganj police station.
Authorities revealed that the individual held a valid ticket for the India vs Afghanistan match, and an ongoing investigation seeks to gather additional details surrounding the incident.
