“It’s the least that I can do” – Keshav Maharaj commented on the ‘Ram Siya Ram’ song playing as he walked out to bat against India

In the recent South Africa vs. India series, the devotional song ‘Ram Siya Ram’ was played each time Keshav Maharaj came out to bat. Maharaj revealed that he requested the song, finding it beneficial for entering a positive mindset and expressing gratitude to God for everything. According to PTI, Maharaj stated:

“Obviously, something that I put forward to the media lady and requested that song to be played. For me, God has been my greatest blessing, giving me guidance and opportunity. So, it’s the least that I can do and it also just gets you in your zone. It’s a nice feeling walking out (into the ground) to hear ‘Ram Siya Ram’ playing in the background.”

In terms of cricket, Keshav Maharaj is presently captaining Durban’s Super Giants in the ongoing second edition of SA20. The team is positioned second in the points table with three victories and two losses in five matches.
