Shoaib Malik, the former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has been making headlines recently with the announcement of his marriage to actress Sana Javed. This news follows his previous marriage to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, which ended in divorce, as confirmed by Mirza’s family.
Amidst the ongoing discussions surrounding Malik’s personal life, an old video has resurfaced, featuring a moment from the cricket talk show ‘The Pavilion’ on A Sports. In this episode, Misbah-ul-Haq playfully teased Malik about his ‘family issues,’ a topic that has gained traction on social media.
During the show, Malik, alongside legendary Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram, shared that he felt happy being away from his family. Misbah responded to this by saying, “If a person goes through an issue in their personal life, they think that everyone else has the same problem.” The off-field banter sparked considerable debate online.

Despite the off-field discussions, Malik has achieved a remarkable milestone on the cricket field. The seasoned cricketer became the first Asian and second overall player to reach 13,000 runs in T20 cricket. This noteworthy accomplishment took place during a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match between Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders, placing Malik in the elite company of Chris Gayle.
In addition to his batting prowess, Malik also contributed with the ball, taking a wicket as his team secured victory. Although he has retired from Test and ODI cricket, Malik continues to showcase his skills in the shortest format, making himself available for selection in the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2024.
