This marks Jaiswal’s second century in just his sixth Test, adding to his notable achievement against the West Indies last year. Notably, his current innings follows an impressive 80 in the first Test, where he fell short of a century after being caught and bowled by Joe Root.

Jaiswal’s cricketing journey gained prominence during the previous year’s IPL, where he emerged as the leading run-scorer for the Rajasthan Royals and secured the fifth-highest run tally in the entire competition.
