India captain Rohit Sharma expressed frustration in the dressing room when Sarfaraz Khan was run out due to a misunderstanding with Ravindra Jadeja on Day 1 of the Rajkot Test. Sarfaraz, who seemed comfortable in his debut innings, crafted a fluent 62-run innings from 66 deliveries before the unfortunate incident occurred in the concluding stages of the third Test against England.
Ravindra Jadeja and Sarfaraz Khan were working well together in the game. However, the partnership stopped when Jadeja, who was about to score 100 runs, tried to take a quick single by hitting the ball towards mid-on.
Sarfaraz answered the call and moved out of the crease for a single. Unfortunately, Mark Wood made an accurate throw, catching the debutant far from reaching back to the crease, concluding his innings in an unfortunate way.
Rohit Sharma, who hoped for a strong finish from the pair to establish India’s dominance on Day 1, was unhappy with the miscommunication that led to the unnecessary dismissal. Expressing his frustration, he threw his cap and uttered some strong words in response to the turn of events.

Ravindra Jadeja reached his second century at his home ground with the following delivery. Despite the recent run-out weighing on his mind, he marked the achievement with a restrained celebration – a brief rendition of his usual sword celebration, keeping his helmet on.
Sarfaraz Khan hits the fastest debut 50 for an Indian, sharing the record
Sarfaraz Khan’s impressive innings is a big relief for Team India, especially with an inexperienced middle order for the rest of the series. The debutant’s 62-run performance, including nine fours and a six, at a 93.94 strike rate, equals Hardik Pandya’s record for the fastest fifty by an Indian on debut, reaching it in 48 deliveries.
Kuldeep Yadav was sent in at No.7 to play out the remaining day. Team India concluded at 326-5 by Stumps on Day 1, with Jadeja remaining unbeaten with 110 runs.
