Throughout the competition, Babar Azam has been a consistent performer, accumulating 394 runs across seven innings at an impressive average of 65.67. Notably, his strike rate of 152.12 underscores his effectiveness and impact in the PSL.
However, his innings was cut short by Akeal Hosein, who later claimed a hat-trick. Hosein dismissed Babar Azam leg-before for a well-compiled 53 runs off 30 deliveries. Despite his departure, Peshawar Zalmi continued their batting innings, currently standing at 157/8 in 15.4 overs.
Babar Azam’s resurgence in the PSL 2024 serves as a testament to his skill and adaptability as a batsman. While facing challenges in international cricket, he has flourished in the domestic T20 league, reaffirming his status as one of Pakistan’s premier batsmen. As the tournament progresses, Babar Azam’s performances will undoubtedly remain a focal point, captivating fans and analysts alike with his batting prowess and finesse.
