Former Australia spinner Shane Warne is one of the best spinners to grace the cricketing field. His decorated career spanned for more than 15 years and during this period he played with quite a lot of crickets. Recently, while responding to a tweet, Warne revealed the name of the most selfish cricketer he has played with.
Since making his international debut in 1992, Warne had more or less tasted success barring a few controversies. During the time, the leg-spinner also developed great camaraderies with other boys in the Baggy Green caps. However, Shane Warne has time and again spoken about his fall out with former skipper Steve Waugh.

It dates back to 1999 when Waugh dropped Warne solely based on his guts for the tour of West Indies. The former Australia cricketer in his book has mentioned that Steve Waugh was the “most selfish player” he ever played with and was only worried about averaging 50. And on Friday, Shane Warne once again backed his previous statement.
Recently, statistician Rob Moody highlighted the fact Waugh has the most number of run-outs to his name. He has also attached a video clip of all such instances. According to the video, Waugh had been involved in 104 run-outs. Out of those 104 not outs, Steve Waugh’s partner were the victims on 67 occasions. Reacting to the same, Shane Warne mentioned that Waugh is easily the most selfish cricketer he has played with.

“For the record AGAIN & I’ve said this 1000 times – I do not hate S Waugh at all. FYI – I picked him in my all time best Australian team recently. Steve was easily the most selfish cricketer that I ever played with and this stat,” Warne wrote in a tweet.
