England will be looking for a major win when they meet Oman in the 28th match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on Thursday, June 13 at North Sound, Antigua. England is winless after their first two games, while Oman was eliminated from the Super 8 campaign after three consecutive defeats.
The reigning champions’ initial game against Scotland was wiped out owing to weather, and they later lost by 36 runs to Australia when chasing a 202-run goal. England faces elimination if they lose to Oman at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.
However, Oman was the first team from Group B to be eliminated from the Super 8 race. Oman was unable to hold off 150 runs against Scotland in a game they had to win, following victories over Namibia and Australia.

Jofra Archer:
The English pacer will take the new ball, a technique that has worked well on this track. The pace and playing conditions, combined with Jofra Archer‘s talent, might prove devastating for the Oman hitters. Archer’s ability to produce pace and movement, along with bowler-friendly ground conditions, might pose a serious challenge to the opposition. The Oman team’s most effective bowler is a left-arm medium-pacer. Due to his ability to take wickets despite having a slow ball pace, Mehran Khan might be a useful bowler vs England.
