Robin Uthappa blasts 68 off 38 against CSK: Robin Uthappa’s magnificent 68 off 38 innings rescued RCB after a shaky start and sloppy middle-overs. His quick fire innings helped RCB to put up a decent total on the board (171). This helped Royal Challengers Bangalore move to the top of the table thrashing CSK.
During the mid-innings break, Uthappa said: “I”m just an ordinary cricketer who is working hard.”
RCB were 119 after 17 overs and Uthappa’s blitz took them to 171. Uthappa’s heroics had all in it – class, timing, power and speed. His last 39 came off 10 deliveries.
Until Uthappa’s explosion, Royal challengers Bangalore struggled. They were 63-3 at the strategic time out (9 overs). Then Uthappa started to accelerate the innings and succeeded in playing a gem.
He was adjudged Man of the Match.
