Rishabh Pant congratulated Indian Olympic winners on Instagram as the 2024 Paris Olympics came to an end on Monday, August 12th. The last time Indian wicketkeeper was seen playing cricket was during the last match of three ODIs with Sri Lanka which ended in favor of host nation by margin of two wickets.

At midnight IST on 12th August 2023, Indian cricketer posted on Instagram saluting sportspeople for their dedication and hoping for the best in their upcoming competitions. The left-hand opening batsman posted a video containing clips from various Indian athletes along with these words:

“As an athlete myself I know the hardships and sacrifice all would have made to represent our nation at the highest level. I’m sure all would have taken some great learnings form the games. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for representing India at the highest level. Wishing you all the very best. Jai Hind.🇮🇳.”

With six medals (1 silver and 5 bronzes), India finished off. Neeraj Chopra, who was a gold medallist at the Tokyo Olympics, clinched a silver medal during the Paris Olympics of 2024. Manu Bhaker earned herself a bronze in women’s 10-meter air pistol category.

The mixed 10-meter air pistol title also went to Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh who are joint bronze medalists. The Indian hockey team management has demonstrated their ability to organize winning tactics by taking home two consecutive Olympic bronze medals.

Swapnil Kusale made his mark on the podium winning a bronze medal in an event that involved firing at 50m distance with a rifle. Aman Sehrawat won his country pride through competing in freestyle wrestling category at 57kg where he earned himself another bronze medal.

Rishabh Pant to participate in Duleep Trophy: Reports

After the horrifying mishap, Rishabh Pant is about to make his comeback into red-ball cricket. The explosive batsman will take part in the Duleep Trophy, along with prominent players like KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav, according to an ESPNcrininfo report. Pant has played 33 Tests for the country with 2271 runs so far and five centuries to his credit.
