Top 10 Rising Cricket Stars To Watch In 2024
Abhishek Sharma

If you have watched the Cricket World Cup in the United States this year – and that was the first time you watched the event – you might be under the impression that Team USA are the top dogs. But if you are a betting man, and you have experienced roulette tables with racetrack, you know not to get too sucked in by that first impression – and you know well!

Team USA are hardly the top dogs. Although the team didn’t win the title in 2024, it showed that it had a team of players that could easily be qualified as rising stars in the sport – and they certainly are. Much like you would want to know more about roulette strategies using trusted sources as Roulette77 Australia, so you would want to find out who the top talented players this year are. Here is a list of ten of them! Players on this list hail from:

  • The USA
  • Pakistan
  • India
  • Elsewhere
  1. Steven Taylor

Surprisingly, we have chosen to top this list with an American – Steven Taylor. He has shined in Team USA as a formidable batman. Although he lacks good all-round quality, his batting is spot-on, and it has been sharpened by his many talented (and admittedly Indian origin teammates). Yet, you may not be able to tell Taylor apart from some of Indian cricket’s biggest legends, so watch him out!

  1. Abhishek Sharma

Sharma is a dangerous player to face – he can bat away like a pro and contributes with control on balls. As you may have guessed – he is an all-rounder and hardly can be constrained to a single role. Analysts have been at odds to favor one of his qualities over another and for a good reason.

  1. Ali Khan

Right, when the name Khan comes fans expect speed and accuracy, and he delivers. He is known for taking wickets that can turn games completely and opponents need to be constantly anticipating for him entering the field and delivering a potentially game-altering hit.

  1. Nisarg Patel

Just tell Patel what you want him to do and he will deliver. An established all-rounder, he will gladly slow down the scoring or up the pace, keeping opponents on their toes, trying to figure out what his next move might be. Patel has an immaculate track record for batting with near superhuman accuracy, and the issue with him is usually what his tea is doing, not whether you can stop him from delivering.

  1. Ramandeep Singh

Singh is another great name on our list of rising cricket stars. He has been making a name for himself in the United States. Playing an all-rounder, the player’s versatility is one of his most touted qualities, and makes him standout among his teammates as the backbone of much of Team USA’s T20 success.

  1. Robin Minz

Another representative of Team USA, Robin Minz fills the more demanding role of wicketkeeper-batsman and combines his duties well. Having both the ability to play as wicketkeeper and batsman has made him another indispensable team of his home team. As you may have guessed, he plays for the United States!

  1. Suyash Sharma

Suyash Sharma has been credited with exerting impressive control over runs, and he has been touted by teammates for his flexibility and generally agreeable character that not only makes him a menace in play but also allows for his team to rally around him. Officially, Sharma is a spin bowler but he has all the trappings of a rising star alright.

  1. Yash Dayal

When facing off with Yash Dayal, the opponents know – he is an aggressive bowler that will simply not let you rest. If Dayal is taking a swing, it will most certainly be the type of derring-do move that pulls his team ahead. Calculated risk? Arrogance or pure luck? You be the judge!

  1. Ian Holland

Ian Holland is another cricket name you will be hearing more about. He is a great all-rounder and he has been playing both in the United States and England, giving him a great overall experience with the game, and contributing to his status of a rising star.

  1. Gajanand Singh

A Native of India, Singh is one of the faces you have seen on Team USA. The Americans have been poaching some excellent talent from cricket’s adopted homeland, but even then – we must give it to Team USA, they do have a knack for cultivating talent, and Singh – formidable as he is on his own – has benefited from the nurturing!
