Shikhar Dhawan, former Indian opener, made a funny remark on Ravindra Jadeja’s latest Instagram post. The all-rounder has been enjoying his time away from cricket. His last game was in 2024 when India won the T20 World Cup by beating South Africa with seven runs in the finals that took place on June 29 at Barbados.
The following day saw the 35-year-old announce his retirement from this format of the game. He neither was included for India’s three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka which ended in 2-0 victory to Sri Lanka with one match being tied. On Monday, September 2, Jadea posted pictures of him alongside his horse and some captions:
“She’s very good at posing #poser”

Dhawan was quick to react and wrote:
“Better than you.”
On Saturday, August 24, Dhawan announced his retirement from both international and domestic cricket. In a video message, the left-hander stated:
“It’s important to turn the page to move forward in life and that’s why I am announcing my retirement from international and domestic cricket. I am leaving with peace in my heart that I played so long for India. I’ve told myself, ‘Don’t feel sad that you won’t play for India anymore, but feel happy that you played for the country.’”
The 38-year-old featured for India in 34 Test matches, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is, accumulating 10,867 runs in total and scoring 24 centuries.
