India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav responded to the post, indicating his eagerness to see a batting photo from Bumrah. The 34-year-old wrote:

“Aahhhh was dying to see a batting image booooooom.”

It’s important to note that Bumrah is set to return to cricket after a well-deserved rest. Earlier this year, he was named Player of the Tournament in India’s victorious 2024 T20 World Cup campaign, taking 15 wickets in eight matches with an impressive economy rate of 4.17.

“Jasprit Bumrah is currently the most valuable Indian cricketer”- Ravichandran Ashwin

Experienced Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has showered high praise on Jasprit Bumrah, calling him the most valuable Indian cricketer right now.

Ashwin noted that Bumrah was warmly welcomed by fans at a recent event in Chennai. During an interview on journalist Vimal Kumar’s YouTube channel, Ashwin commented:

e Chennai people appreciate bowlers a lot. He was here for an event as a chief guest 4-5 days ago. We gave him a Rajni treatment. We (Chennai people) treat bowlers very nicely. He should be treated as a champion. I don’t want to name, but Jasprit Bumrah is the most valuable Indian cricketer right now.”

The upcoming Test season is vital for Team India as they aim to reach the World Test Championship (WTC) final for the third consecutive time. They are currently leading the standings with 74 points and a percentage of 68.52.
