[WATCH] Bangladesh Supporter ‘Tiger Robi’ Rushed To Hospital After An Alleged Attack During the Kanpur Test

Cricket fans are well-known for their passion and fervor. Bangladeshi fans went to India to cheer on their team, exhibiting their dedication. However, tensions between Indian and Bangladeshi fans rose, resulting in an altercation in which a Bangladeshi fan required medical attention.

Tiger Robi, a cricket fan from Bangladesh, was reportedly struck on the lower abdomen by other fans at Green Park Stadium on Friday, prompting him to be taken to the hospital.

As the security guards hurried him to a neighbouring hospital for emergency care, Robi said to Sportstar, “They hit me on my back and lower abdomen, and I could not breathe.”

However, police at the venue refuted the charges. “One of our officers discovered him gasping for air near the C block door, struggling to speak. “It appears to be a case of dehydration, but we will await medical advice,” stated a police source.

Robi, a supporter of Bangladesh, wildly waved his country flag and screamed slogans from the C block balcony during the opening day of the India-Bangladesh Test.

But Robi’s excitement was short-lived as he got into a fight with some onlookers during the first session. Officers from security came in to defuse the situation.

Robi reported that throughout lunch, he was battered by onlookers in the area and that he was being harassed further. His allegation has been noted by the police, who will use official CCTV footage to confirm the occurrence. A probe is in progress to ascertain the details surrounding the altercation.
