KL Rahul’s incredible catch gave Team India a significant advantage on the last day of the second Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur. India made an early breakthrough with the spectacular leg-slip catch.

On 26/2, Bangladesh started Day 5 with Mominul Haque and Shadman Isman at the crease. In an attempt to build on the momentum from Day 4, Ravichandran Ashwin spearheaded India’s bowling attack.

Not to be let down, Ashwin struck in his very first over. Shadman Isman’s (7) wicket was crucially secured by his ninth ball of the day, which proved to be pivotal. The difference came from KL Rahul’s quick reflexes during the leg-slip.

Bangladesh is struggling due to the potent combination of Rahul’s skill and Ashwin’s ability. It will be difficult for the visitors to win the game with eight wickets left. Meanwhile, India is feeling confident and will try to finish the match as soon as possible. A thrilling end to the Test series has the Green Park crowd in high spirits.

In the second innings of Bangladesh, Mominul Haque tried a sweep shot, which had worked effectively for him in the past, on the third delivery of the 14th over. But this time, it resulted in his termination. As a result of the left-handed batter’s improper connection, KL Rahul made a catch at leg slip.

It is important to note that Ashwin moved the second slip to the leg slip in his revised fielding arrangement. Mominul, who amassed a century in the opening inning, was removed by Rahul with a brilliant catch. Before being removed, the Bangladeshi batter managed just 2 runs off of 8 balls, leaving the team at 36/3.

In the opening session of the final day, Mominul was dismissed, and skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto joined Shadman Islam at the crease. Together, they gave the squad the advantage in the second inning. During the fourth day’s last session, KL Rahul notably failed to retrieve the ball from Shadman, who was on three runs.
