Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has rubbed his shoulders with some of the greats in the game since his debut in 2000. He has played with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid to name a few. Recently, Yuvraj Singh recalled first meeting with god Sachin Tendulkar in the Indian dressing room.
Since then, the cricketer from Punjab has earned a lot of accolades for his country. He played a significant role in the two World Cup-winning campaigns in 2007 and 2011. Besides winning inside the field, Yuvraj Singh has also won in life. He battled cancer to make a comeback and dominate the game.
Yuvraj Singh recalls first meeting with Sachin Tendulkar
The all-rounder, who last played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, announced his retirement from international cricket and IPL last year. Yuvraj will go down as one of the illustrious chapters in Indian cricket for his contributions over a decade. Recently, Yuvraj Singh recalled his first meeting with Sachin Tendulkar and thanked him for playing a vital role in his career.
“Thank u, Master. When we 1st met, I felt I have shaken hands with god. U’ve guided me in my toughest phases. U taught me to believe in my abilities. I’ll play the same role for youngsters that you played for me. Looking 4wd (forward) to many more wonderful memories with you,” Yuvraj wrote in a tweet.

Meanwhile, Yuvraj’s tweet came in reply to Master Blaster remembering former’s first anniversary of retirement. Sachin Tendulkar wrote a special message for Yuvraj Singh recalling his first memory with the champ in Chennai.
“It’s been a year since You(Vi) retired… My first memory of you was during the Chennai camp & I couldn’t help but notice that you were very athletic & deceptively quick at Point. I needn’t talk about your 6 hitting ability, it was evident you could clear any ground in the world,” he wrote.
