England’s fast bowler Jofra Archer has developed a dedicated fanbase for his tweets. His older social media posts have frequently gone viral, showcasing his remarkable knack for predicting future cricket events, much to fans’ astonishment.
Archer is back in the limelight due to a past tweet. Following India’s dismissal for 46 in their Test series opener against New Zealand in Bengaluru, a 10-year-old tweet from him reemerged online. That tweet simply contained the number 46. It was originally posted on November 21, 2014.

India’s score of 46 runs is their lowest total in home Test matches. The Men in Blue struggled against New Zealand’s pace attack after choosing to bat first.
Rishabh Pant (20) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (13) were the only batters to score over 10 runs. Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Ravindra Jadeja, and Ravichandran Ashwin all went out for ducks. Matt Henry took five wickets, while William O’Rourke claimed four.
No other batter besides Ravindra and Conway reached double digits, with five players dismissed without scoring. India lost six wickets for just 34 runs in the first session of the second day after Rohit chose to bat first in the Test, which had its first day washed out due to rain.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan mocked Rohit Sharma and the team for their poor batting in the ongoing Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru. He sarcastically suggested that Indian fans should be happy the team managed to score more than 36 runs.
Notably, India was bowled out for 36 against Australia in Adelaide in December 2020, marking their lowest Test total. Criticizing Indian supporters, the cricketer-turned-commentator tweeted on X:

In reply to India’s 46 runs, New Zealand scored 402, thanks to impressive performances from Rachin Ravindra (134) and Devon Conway (91). Tim Southee contributed a vital 65 runs lower in the order, giving the visitors a lead of 356 runs.
