[WATCH]- MS Dhoni Happily Engages With Fellow Passengers After Getting On A Flight

Former India captain MS Dhoni is spotted warmly greeting and interacting with fellow passengers after boarding a flight. The charming clip, which also features his daughter Ziva and wife Sakshi, has gone viral online.

At 43, Dhoni remains one of India’s most beloved cricketers, even after his retirement from international cricket in 2020. His enduring popularity can largely be attributed to his humble demeanor, staying grounded despite his immense fame.

In a widely circulated video, Dhoni is seen entering a plane with his family and engaging amicably with other passengers once onboard. You can watch the video here:

Fans praised the cricket superstar for his humble act of engaging with everyday people on the flight. One user remarked, “Lucky passengers on the flight,” while another expressed, “I’m literally jealous.”

Dhoni is regarded as one of India’s greatest cricketing legends, having led the nation to two World Cup victories and a Champions Trophy win. As the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL, he has steered the team to an impressive five titles.

Ravichandran Ashwin has expressed a desire for CSK to keep MS Dhoni as a capped player

The BCCI announced the IPL player regulations for 2025-2027, stating that an Indian player who hasn’t participated in international cricket for five years and lacks a central contract can be classified as uncapped. Dhoni fits this category, as he last represented India in 2019.

Team India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin believes that Chennai Super Kings should keep their former captain as a capped player, despite having the option to retain him as uncapped. In a recent discussion on his YouTube channel, he shared his thoughts:

“I will give a fresh perspective. I will retain Rutu (Gaikwad), Jaddu (Jadeja), Dube, Pathirana and Dhoni. And I will retain Dhoni as a normal capped player, not as an uncapped player.”

“I’ll retain these five and will get Sameer Rizvi as my sixth retention,” Ashwin went on to add.

After leading CSK to their fifth IPL title in 2023, Dhoni passed the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad for the 2024 season. However, Chennai Super Kings did not make the playoffs, losing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in their final league match.
