Significant changes have occurred in the most recent ICC Test Rankings for batsmen, as Rishabh Pant has jumped ahead of Virat Kohli to take sixth spot. Pant has surpassed his more seasoned partner in the rankings thanks to his outstanding performance.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is still the highest ranked hitter in India and, rightly so, remains the fourth ranked player in the list. However, the Indian captain finally came down to the 15 th rank along with Dimuth Karunaratne of Sri Lanka.

The top-ranked Test batsman this week remains unchanged; it is Joe Root from England. After such performance on 114 against Pakistan, Ben Duckett is also on the pine to enter the top 10 up by three places and sharing the position of 11.

Season after season, there is constant struggle for dominance in international cricket, as evidenced by the new rankings. These rankings will shift from here as the Test tournament unfolds and will draw out the strengths and weaknesses of players and teams alike.

According to the most recent ICC Test Rankings for Batters, star Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has surpassed his senior teammate Virat Kohli to take sixth spot. With 20 and 99 against New Zealand, Pant, who just returned to Test cricket after a serious automobile accident, displayed his improving form. He moved up three spots in the rankings as a result of these efforts, surpassing Kohli, who is currently tied for seventh position.

Joe Root of England has maintained his lead at the top, which coincides with Pant’s ascent. Even though Yashasvi Jaiswal of India rose to fourth place in the standings, Root, who constantly delivers at the highest level, has a comfortable advantage over his rivals. The fact that Jaiswal, Pant, and Kohli are the only Indian players in the top 10 highlights how well-represented India is even though their rankings have changed.

Jasprit Bumrah, India’s pace leader, is still ranked first among bowlers, followed by colleague R Ashwin. Another Indian in the top 10 is Ravindra Jadeja, who holds onto seventh place.
