[WATCH]- Washington Sundar Dismisses Rachin Ravindra Once More In The Second India vs New Zealand Test

New Zealand’s in-form player Rachin Ravindra was again outplayed by Washington Sundar in the second innings of the second Test against India at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. In the first innings on Day 1, the all-rounder had bowled him out for 65 runs.

After bowling India out for 156 in their first innings, the visitors aimed to build on their lead, which had grown to 180 when Ravindra came to the crease following Will Young’s dismissal. He and Tom Latham played through the remainder of the session until Tea.

However, Ravindra could only add a couple of runs in the final session before being dismissed by Washington Sundar in the second over after Tea, when an arm ball skidded off the surface.

The left-handed batter struggled to handle the delivery’s pace after shifting onto the back foot to cut the ball. He couldn’t bring his bat down in time, resulting in his off-stump being knocked down by the same bowler once more.

Latham and Mitchell Apply Pressure on India Following Rachin Ravindra’s Dismissal

New Zealand has approached the second innings with serious intent, aiming to capitalize on their substantial lead. Skipper Tom Latham, having struggled earlier in the tour, has taken the initiative. Alongside Daryl Mitchell, the pair are scoring rapidly, pushing the lead past 200 with seven wickets remaining.

At the time of writing, New Zealand found themselves in a solid position at 106-3 after 25 overs. Tom Latham was approaching his half-century, steadily building his score, while India struggled to find effective answers to stop the run flow.
