Indian cricket star Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, were recently spotted having breakfast at Benne Bombay in Mumbai, where they also posed for photos with the restaurant staff. Kohli is currently taking a short break from cricket after his participation in the Test series against New Zealand, which wrapped up earlier this month.
The New Zealand team made history by becoming the first to whitewash India in a Test series of three or more matches on Indian soil. Kohli had a challenging series, managing only 93 runs in six innings at an average of 15.50, with just one half-century.
Kohli will be eager to regain his form as India faces a tough challenge against Australia in the upcoming five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy, starting November 22 in Perth.
A devoted fan of Kohli shared a few photos on X (formerly Twitter), offering a glimpse of the cricketer’s off-field moments during his break, where he and Anushka were seen enjoying their time with the Benne Bombay staff.

“The Story Of The Last Five Years Is Not Good” – Aakash Chopra On Virat Kohli’s Test Form After Disappointing Series Against New Zealand
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently reviewed Virat Kohli’s Test performances in recent years after his underwhelming run in the New Zealand series. He expressed that Kohli’s aura had started to fade due to his recent struggles. In a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra stated:
“Kohli also has just one fifty in 10 innings. If you see other than that, you will find that he left a lot to be desired. In fact, you can see his entire year. He didn’t play the England series. I thought that was a big miss.”
“The last five years’ story is not good and the last 10 innings are not good at all. Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar or Sir Vivian Richards, these players have an aura, that once they come to bat, they would dictate.”
He further added:
“That sort of aura used to be there when Kohli used to come. When Virat Kohli comes now, it seems like he can be dismissed without any issues. I am not saying that.”
“You can see that from the opposing team’s body language. The error of judgment is happening repeatedly. Sometimes a full toss is missed and you take a run after hitting straight to the fielder on another occasion.”
