With the win, South Africa leveled the four-match T20I series 1-1. For India, the loss ended their 11-match T20I winning streak. Although the Indian bowlers fought hard, they couldn’t defend a modest total.

Batting first, India stumbled to 45-4 in just eight overs. Axar Patel (27 off 21) and Hardik Pandya (39* off 45) helped them reach 124. On the bowling side, Varun Chakravarthy was outstanding, taking 5-17. However, Tristan Stubbs (47* off 41) and Gerald Coetzee (19* off 9) guided South Africa to a narrow victory.

The third T20I of the India vs South Africa series will take place at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Wednesday, November 13. The match is set to start at 8:30 p.m. IST and 5 p.m. local time. Both teams will aim to take a 2-1 lead in the series before the final match.

The Men in Blue and the Proteas have faced off just once in T20Is at SuperSport Park in Centurion, with the encounter taking place in February 2018. South Africa won that match by six wickets.

After winning the toss and choosing to field, South Africa saw India post a competitive total of 188-4. Manish Pandey played a key role, scoring 79* off 48 balls with six fours and three sixes, while MS Dhoni contributed with 52* off 28 balls, including four fours and three sixes.

Pandey and Dhoni’s impressive batting efforts ultimately proved fruitless as the hosts successfully chased down the target in 18.4 overs. Heinrich Klaasen starred with 69 off 30 balls, including three fours and seven sixes, while captain Jean-Paul Duminy played a match-winning knock of 64* off 40 balls.
