Anshul Kamboj of Haryana made history during the present Ranji Trophy match versus Kerala in Lahli. He became only the third player in tournament history to take all ten wickets in one inning. This incredible feat has only been accomplished twice previously in the Ranji Trophy.
Kamboj’s performance is similar to Anil Kumble’s famous 10-wicket haul against Pakistan in a Test match. The last time a player accomplished this feat in the Ranji Trophy was in 1985-86. Premangsu Mohan Chatterjee and Pradeep Sunderam are the other two bowlers to have taken all ten wickets in an innings during the event.
Kamboj’s outstanding bowling abilities are demonstrated by his unprecedented accomplishment. Because of his performance, he now shares records with some of the best bowlers in Indian cricket history.

Anshul Kamboj bagged 10 first-class wickets, putting him on an elite list of Indian bowlers to achieve this feat. This has made him as the only the sixth Indian bowler after the legendary leg spinners Anil Kumble, Subhash Gupte, and Debasis Mohanty to achieve this feat. Thus, because of his good performance, Kamboj gets the attention and will be expected to have a large impact on cricket.
Kamboj had a great start to his domestic red-ball campaign in the Duleep Trophy and, more recently, has done exceedingly well. He was able to secure 8 wickets, the third bowler to do it in the three-week tournament. Still, Kamboj rose to prominence across the previous domestic season and was signed by the Mumbai Indians for the 2024 IPL tournament.
While Haryana emerged champions in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Kamboj bowled well to pick up 17 wickets in 10 matches. He has played 15 List A and has taken 23 wickets and due to his great performance, he was selected by the Mumbai Indians in the 2024 Indian Premier League.
