India skipper Jasprit Bumrah and senior batsman Virat Kohli celebrated exuberantly upon the dismissal of Travis Head on Day 4 of the ongoing Perth Test match, having previously made life hell for the Indian side after a fiery inning at the Optus Stadium on the 25th of November. Unfortunately, Head could not bear Bumrah’s peach of an incoming throw outside the off stump.

The ball was edged to Rishabh Pant, and Kohli came running to Bumrah to celebrate the all-important wicket. It is a significant wicket in the context of the match, given Head’s talent for playing top-quality innings against the Australian side. Although he has been quite well set to play against India, he could not stand the strike of one of Bumrah’s gems.

Bumrah’s delivery from around the wicket just nipped away enough to kiss Head’s outside edge, resulting in the wicket of the left-hander. The Indian team’s celebrations roused the feel of the importance placed on the wicket, and they will now look to build on that momentum to gain an advantage in the match.
