Indian cricketer Mohammed Siraj’s contract with the Gujarat Titans (GT) would see him enter the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2025. The franchise bought the pacer for ₹12.25 crore during the IPL 2025 auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This new contract brings an end to Siraj’s seven-year-long association with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). As if to prove the point, he channeled his emotions towards social media to say goodbye to RCB, thanking and praising the team.

Siraj’s exit from RCB is one of the significant events in the IPL, and his induction to GT is majorly going to heighten the team’s successful bowling attack. With such extraordinary abilities and experience, he stands high to contribute a great deal to his new side. As a new chapter is opened in his IPL journey by the end of this, the fans will be waiting to watch how well he performs in the next season ahead.

I have seen your tears...': Mohammed Siraj pens emotional letter for ex-team RCB after GT picked him in IPL 2025 auction - SportsTak

Of course, it has to be mentioned that GT won Mohammed Siraj at the IPL 2025 auction after competing meter-to-meter in a fierce bidding tussle with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). RCB would have exercised the RTM for the bowler but they did not. In response to Siraj’s message, Rashid Khan, GT’s star Afghan spinner, added heart emojis and wrote that the fast bowler belonged to Gujarat now.

He commented, “Ab tu hamara huaaaaa (Now you are ours).”

Mohammed Siraj’s IPL career came to an end with his departure from Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Interestingly, he is Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) third-highest wicket-taker in IPL history.

With an economy rate of 8.60 and 83 wickets from 87 matches, Siraj’s stats are stunning with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). He certainly will be remembered as one of the largest contributors of all time for RCB.
