[WATCH]: “Unko Kaun Nahi Miss Karega” – Former CSK Pacer Spoke Emotionally About Missing MS Dhoni After Joining MI

Right-arm pacer Deepak Chahar admitted he would miss MS Dhoni after being bought by Mumbai Indians (MI) at the IPL 2025 auction. In response to a question from former CSK teammate Suresh Raina, Chahar said, “Who won’t miss him?”

Chahar, released by Chennai Super Kings before the auction, was acquired by MI for ₹9.25 crore at the mega auction in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. During a live interaction on JioCinema, Raina playfully posed the question to the pacer. He said:

“Dhoni bhai ko miss toh karoge (will you miss Dhoni)?”

“Unko kaun nahi miss karega (who won’t miss him),” the 32-year-old replied on obvious lines.

Chahar, who entered the IPL 2025 auction with a base price of ₹2 crore, emphasized that his bowling would be more effective on Mumbai’s pacer-friendly pitches compared to Chepauk, which favors spinners.

“Ever ytime I talk to (cousin) Rahul (Chahar), I say you are playing for the team (MI) I should be playing and I am playing for the team (CSK) you should be playing, skill-wise.”

”Because in Chennai, there is help for the spinners and in Mumbai for fast bowlers. He couldn’t come to Chennai, but I am going to Mumbai. So I will get that advantage,” Chahar commented.

The right-arm pacer Deepak Chahar was picked by Mumbai Indians, while his cousin Rahul, a leg-spinner, was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for ₹3.20 crore.
