Days after Virat Kohli confronted Australian media at Melbourne airport over filming his children, Ravindra Jadeja declined their questions before the fourth Test. According to 9News Melbourne, the Saurashtra all-rounder walked away as an Australian reporter attempted to ask him something.
Kohli was also seen discussing his concerns with a journalist at the airport. While Jadeja interacted with Indian journalists on Saturday, he avoided Australian reporters, who expressed their frustration. The media manager later informed them the team’s bus was leaving, urging them to hurry.

Ravindra Jadeja was instrumental in ensuring the visitors secured a hard-fought draw in Brisbane with a resilient innings of 77 runs off 123 balls. His knock included seven boundaries and a six, showcasing his determination and skill under pressure.
Given his crucial performance, Jadeja is expected to retain his place in the playing XI for the upcoming Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, scheduled to begin on December 26.
“Hope India finds a better bowler or all-rounder than him”- Jadeja lauds Ashwin
With Ashwin stepping away from international cricket, Jadeja shared he’ll miss the off-spinner, especially their strategic planning against opponents. The 36-year-old mentioned while addressing the media:
“He was my on-field mentor and we played together for a long time. There was a bond between us and we regularly shared messages about the conditions in a particular match. We had a discussion about the shots a batter could play and what we should be doing against him.”
“I am going to miss all these things. I hope Indian cricket gets a better bowler or all-rounder than him. You can’t say that no one can take his place. Everyone goes, and you get the replacement.”
The Australia-India five-Test series stands tied at 1-1.
