Rohit Sharma, who has been under pressure as a batter and a Test captain, has taken a positive step towards coming back into form. As previous cricketers have advised Rohit to return to domestic cricket for practice, the latter is now in the Mumbai Ranji team. The ‘Hitman’ was seen alight at the Wankhede Stadium with his kit bag ready to start work with the defending Ranji champions.

With Rahane, a fellow India teammate, being the captain of the Mumbai team, Rohit will have no better stage to get back to form. This has been considered as a good step by Rohit; he wants to subdue his critics and wants to show that he is also capable of performing well. With the Mumbai team, Rohit wants to get into the rhythm in order to be effective when the Indian team engages in international fixtures.

Rohit Sharma has joined the Mumbai Ranji team for practice but his availability for the next games is still unknown. On Tuesday, Rohit joined the squad for practice after consulting the head coach, Omkar Salavi, about it. Mumbai’s next match is against Jammu and Kashmir on January 23, a match that may well be decisive in who joins Baroda in the quarter-finals from Group A.

The last Ranji match of Mumbai is with Meghalaya on 30th January. Rohit has already bid adieu to T20 Internationals along with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja after leading India to T20 World Cup victory.

Therefore, he will not be a member of the T20I series against England that is slated for January 22-February 2. Rohit’s attention is now on getting back into the ranks and performing for the Mumbai Ranji outfit.
