Indian cricketer Shreyanka Patil humorously responded to a post that claimed she was at Arun Jaitley Stadium to watch Virat Kohli in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 match between Delhi and Railways. A user shared a photo on X (formerly Twitter) showing Shreyanka Patil in the stands, suggesting she was at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
However, Shreyanka was actually at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru for the opening day of the match between Karnataka, her home state, and Haryana.
In her response, she clarified that she was at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, but jokingly mentioned that she was in Delhi “in spirit” to watch “The King” Virat Kohli. She also referred to the Chinnaswamy Stadium as her favorite.
“Someone in the family sent this and thought I was lying to them 🤪 I agree, in spirit I was in Delhi to watch The King but actually, I was watching at my favourite stadium! #Chinnaswamy,” she tweeted on her official X account.
Virat Kohli is widely recognized as one of Shreyanka’s favorite cricketers, and the two also have a shared connection through playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) men’s and women’s teams, respectively.

Shreyanka Patil Set to Make Her Comeback in WPL 2025
Shreyanka Patil is set to make her return in the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025, which begins on February 14. The Karnataka all-rounder previously played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise, which claimed the WPL 2024 title.
At 22, Shreyanka has featured in 15 WPL matches over two seasons, taking 19 wickets at an average of 18.36 and an economy rate of 8.51. With the bat, she has scored 81 runs from 11 innings at a strike rate of 147.27, primarily batting in the lower order.
Shreyanka will represent RCB for the third consecutive season in the WPL. Additionally, she has represented the Indian national team, playing three ODIs with five wickets and 16 T20Is, where she has taken 20 wickets at an average of 19.20 and an economy rate of 6.73.
