A brand-new cricket league, the Asian Legends League (ALL T20), is all set to take the field. This exciting new tournament, endorsed by former India chief selector Chetan Sharma, aims to bring back some of Asia’s greatest retired cricketers for one last grand showdown. Running from March 10 to March 18 in Nathdwara, Rajasthan, the five-team league will offer cricket lovers a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

What is the Asian Legends League (ALL T20)?

The ALL T20 isn’t just another T20 league; it’s a celebration of cricketing legends. The idea is to reunite some of the best retired cricketers from Asia, giving fans an opportunity to watch them play competitively again. This tournament will bring back the thrill of country-versus-country clashes, reviving old rivalries in an exciting format.

League Format and Structure

The Asian Legends League follows the popular T20 format, where each match is fast-paced and action-packed. The league will last for eight days, with every team competing in a round-robin format before heading into the knockout stages.

Teams Participating in ALL T20

  1. Indian Royals

A team packed with former Indian cricket stars, looking to bring their class and experience to the tournament.

  1. Sri Lankan Lions

Sri Lanka’s retired greats will be back in action, hoping to relive their glory days.

  1. Bangladesh Tigers

Featuring some of Bangladesh’s finest retired players, this team will be led by a group of experienced professionals.

  1. Afghanistan Pathans

Afghanistan’s cricketing legends will showcase their skills in this team, coached by Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

  1. Rest of Asian Stars

This team will include iconic cricketers from various Asian countries, bringing together a mix of talent and experience. Marvan Atapattu will serve as the coach.

Star Players and Coaches

While the full list of players is yet to be revealed, some big names are expected to participate. The coaching staff includes legendary cricketers such as Herschelle Gibbs (Bangladesh Tigers), Shivnarine Chanderpaul (Afghanistan Pathans), and Marvan Atapattu (Rest of Asian Stars).

Chetan Sharma’s Endorsement and Role

As the league commissioner, Chetan Sharma is the driving force behind the ALL T20. His vision is to give former cricketers a second innings while keeping fans engaged with top-quality cricket.

“The ALL T20 is more than just a cricket league – it’s a celebration of retired Asian cricketers coming together. The league gives fans an exciting opportunity to watch legends from all corners of Asia compete in a country-versus-country clash,” said league commissioner Chetan Sharma.

The Player Draft and Team Selection

The player draft will take place on February 15 in New Delhi. Only registered players will be eligible for selection, ensuring a well-balanced and competitive league.

The matches will be hosted at the Miraj International Cricket Stadium in Nathdwara, Rajasthan. The venue is known for its excellent facilities and is expected to provide a fantastic atmosphere for players and fans alike.
