Amid Mahakumbh 2025, a special puja and aarti were conducted in Prayagraj on Sunday, February 23, ahead of the highly anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the 2025 Champions Trophy. A group of devotees gathered to offer prayers for Team India’s victory.

Expressing hope for India’s victory over Pakistan in the high-profile clash, a devotee told IANS:

“Today there is a match between India and Pakistan. During the pious Kumbh, we all Indian citizens hope that our nation will win today’s match. All our prayers are with them.”

India and Pakistan have faced each other five times in Champions Trophy history, with Pakistan holding a narrow edge, having won three encounters. However, since 2015, they have managed only one ODI victory against India.

Fans Take Holy Dip at Mahakumbh Ahead of India-Pakistan Clash

Excitement is high for the upcoming India-Pakistan clash. Ahead of the match, some devotees took a holy dip at Mahakumbh, praying for India’s victory. They were seen holding posters of Team India stars Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Shami.

Rohit Sharma’s Team India began their 2025 Champions Trophy campaign with a six-wicket win over Bangladesh. Mohammed Shami starred with the ball, taking a five-wicket haul and restricting Bangladesh to 228.

India successfully chased the target in 46.3 overs, with Shubman Gill scoring an unbeaten 101 to anchor the innings. His brilliant century under pressure earned him the Player of the Match award.
