India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant was spotted joyfully dancing at his sister’s wedding celebrations after returning from the 2025 Champions Trophy. India clinched the prestigious ICC title in a thrilling encounter by defeating New Zealand in the final on Sunday, March 9, in Dubai.

Pant, dressed casually for the occasion, joined his family on the dance floor during the celebrations. Interestingly, he did not feature in any match of the recently concluded tournament. Watch the video of Rishabh Pant enjoying his sister Sakshi Pant’s wedding here:

Sakshi Pant initially posted the video on her Instagram story, captioning it:

“When your brother wins the final and rushes straight to your wedding.”

In the 2025 Champions Trophy final, India bowled first and limited New Zealand to 251/7. They then successfully chased the target in 49 overs, securing victory with four wickets in hand. This triumph marked India’s third Champions Trophy title, the most by any team to date.

Rishabh Pant appointed as LSG captain for IPL 2025

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant will next be seen in action during the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, which is set to begin on March 22. Pant was bought by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for a massive ₹27 crore at the mega auction.

Earlier, he was released by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the auction. LSG also appointed Pant as their captain for the IPL 2025 season. Talking about his IPL record, the 27-year-old has played 111 matches, scoring 3,284 runs from 110 innings at an average of 35.31 and a strike rate of 148.93.

He has registered one century and 18 half-centuries in his IPL career. Looking at his captaincy record, Pant has led in 43 IPL matches so far, securing 23 wins and suffering 19 defeats, with a win percentage of 53.48%.
