[WATCH] Dhanashree Verma Appears at Family Court for Hearings on Divorce Proceedings

Dhanashree Verma, a well-known choreographer, would arrive at the Bandra family court on Thursday for the final hearing of her divorce with cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. It would make headlines among couples, as it would be the loudest step of progress. On March 19, the Bombay High Court waived the enforced six-month mandatory cooling-off before the couple could proceed with their divorce.

This would lay the background for the court ruling because Chahal has to participate in the IPL 2025 season, which goes from March 22. On February 5, both filed a plea for divorce in the family court, mutually praying for waiving off the cooling-off period since their divorce was by mutual consent.

Dhanashree Verma’s New Chapter

The keyword here is “alimony.” The divorce settlement from Yuzvendra Chahal grants her 4.75 crores of Indian rupee alimony, of which 2.37 crores have already been paid out. Most importantly, this would allow Verma to enjoy life beyond her profession and not sweat too much to indulge in her interests and meet her passions.

It was after having separated for 18 months that Verma decided to file for a petition for divorce, as it was not an easy decision to take. Verma and Chahal had been facing some problems in their marriage, as could be seen from their mutual divorce. With the divorce proceedings finished, Verma has a whole new page to look forward to.
