Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya took to social media on Monday, March 24, to share a heartfelt post celebrating his brother Krunal Pandya’s 34th birthday. Krunal, who has played 24 matches for India in two white-ball formats, is currently representing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the ongoing 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL).
To mark the occasion, Hardik posted a touching message on Instagram, accompanied by pictures of his son, Agastya, alongside Krunal’s sons, Kavir and Vayu. He captioned the post:
“My big bro! Tough to put into words just how much you mean to me. Always there, always in my corner, and the best KP papa to Agu. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come, how much we’ve grown together and now we get to see our beautiful boys grow up together too. Love you always bhai and wishing you a very happy birthday.”

Krunal Pandya last played in the opening match of IPL 2025 on March 22, where RCB took on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Ajinkya Rahane’s impressive 56 guided KKR to a total of 174/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Meanwhile, Krunal delivered an exceptional bowling performance, registering figures of 3/29 in his four-over spell.
Mumbai Indians Fall Short in IPL 2025 Opener Without Hardik Pandya
Mumbai Indians (MI) began their IPL 2025 campaign against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 23 in Chennai. MI were without their regular skipper, Hardik Pandya, who was serving a one-match suspension.
The suspension stemmed from MI’s slow over-rate violations during the 2024 season, with the final offense occurring in their last match. In Hardik’s absence, Suryakumar Yadav took charge as captain.
Batting first, MI managed 155/9 in their 20 overs, with Noor Ahmad starring for CSK with four wickets. In response, Rachin Ravindra’s unbeaten 65 and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 53 powered CSK to a four-wicket victory with five balls to spare.
