[WATCH]- Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday Depart Wankhede Stadium Disheartened After MI vs KKR IPL 2025 Match

Bollywood actresses Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday were seen leaving Wankhede Stadium visibly disappointed after Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) loss to Mumbai Indians (MI) in an IPL 2025 match on Monday, March 31. Earlier in the night, Ananya entertained the crowd with an outstanding performance during the opening ceremony at MI’s first home game of the season.

Suhana Khan attended the match to cheer for KKR, co-owned by her father, Shah Rukh Khan. Ananya, after her performance, joined her friend Suhana in the stands, where the two supported the defending champions throughout the game. However, their spirits were dampened when MI defeated KKR comfortably by eight wickets.

An Instagram user posted videos showing Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday leaving the stadium dejected after the match.

After MI captain Hardik Pandya opted to bowl first, Ashwani Kumar (4/24) and his teammates delivered a brilliant performance, dismissing Kolkata Knight Riders for just 116 in 16.2 overs. Although batters like Angkrish Raghuvanshi (26), Manish Pandey (19), Rinku Singh (17), and Ramandeep Singh (22) got off to decent starts, they couldn’t capitalize, causing KKR’s innings to collapse.

Mumbai Indians then took control with the bat, comfortably chasing down the target in 12.5 overs for a net run rate-boosting victory.

“It Was a Collective Batting Failure” – KKR Captain Ajinkya Rahane After MI Loss in IPL 2025

During the post-match presentation, Kolkata captain Ajinkya Rahane blamed the loss on the collective failure of their batting lineup. Reflecting on his team’s performance, Rahane stated:

“I thought it was a collective batting failure. It was a good wicket to bat on. Absolutely we expect that at Wankhede, it has very good bounce. Sometimes you have to use the pace of this wicket, couldn’t do much with the ball.”

He further continued:

“The bowlers tried their best but the score wasn’t enough. We kept losing wickets, four wickets in the powerplay and it was difficult to consolidate from there. It just didn’t go our way tonight.”
