Cricket is all set to resume finally with England hosting West Indies for a three-match Test series starting from 8th of July. After a difficult couple of month owing to COVID-19 pandemic, the beloved sport will return to the televisions screens.
England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will host all the matches in bio-secure environments. The players from the Caribbeans stayed in quarantine before commencing their practice in the UK.
Both teams played warm-up matches to gear up for the three-match Wisden Trophy. England will miss the service of their regular skipper Joe Root, who is expecting the birth of his child. Ben Stokes will lead the side in his absence.
On the other hand, West Indies have landed with a star-studded squad. They have also added fast bowler Shannon Gabriel to their ranks to break the defence of the host. It is likely to be an exciting couple of weeks for the cricket fans.
