[WATCH]- Kohli Skillfully Avoids Intruder After RR vs RCB IPL 2025 Match

Virat Kohli, the star player of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), cleverly avoided a fan who ran onto the field to meet him after the IPL 2025 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The match took place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday, April 13.

A curious incident unfolded post-match when Virat Kohli was on the field, chatting with RR support staff members Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathore, both of whom had previously been part of India’s coaching staff. While they were talking, Kohli noticed a fan approaching and quickly moved out of the way to avoid him.

Security swiftly intervened and escorted the intruder off the field. You can watch the video here:

Kohli and Salt’s half-centuries guide RCB to 9-wicket win over RR in IPL 2025

RCB captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to bowl first in the match. Yashasvi Jaiswal (75), Riyan Parag (30), and Dhruv Jurel (35*) played cautiously on a slow pitch to help RR reach a competitive total of 173/4 in their innings.

In response, RCB openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli put up a blistering 92-run partnership in just 8.4 overs, putting RCB in control of the chase. Salt struck 65 off 33 balls before being dismissed in the ninth over. Kohli (62*) and Devdutt Padikkal (40*) completed the chase, guiding RCB to victory in the 18th over.

Reflecting on the win during the post-match presentation, Rajat Patidar shared:

“The bowlers bowled really well right through! They made it easy for the batters. The bowling in the power play was excellent. We were expecting something from 150-170 and it was there and there about. Our bowlers are ready to bowl on any surface, at any stage.”

“Philip Salt was brilliant, and the partnership he had with Virat Kohli was pretty special too! Made our work easier. But, we are not a team that looks at home or away records, we only look at how we can win every match!” Patidar added.
