[WATCH]- MS Dhoni Shares Fun Moment With CSK Teammates Before MI Clash

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni engaged in a fun guessing game with his teammates ahead of their much-awaited IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday, April 20. Dhoni, along with Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, and Sam Curran, participated in a lip-reading challenge while wearing headphones that blocked out sound.

The game began when the anchor relayed a Hindi sentence to Dhoni, who had to pass it on to the next player without speaking. Dhoni interpreted it as ‘What I do,’ which Pathirana misunderstood as ‘What I do.’ When Pathirana passed it to Dube, Dube misheard it as ‘What I don’t know’ and shared that with Curran.

Finally, the anchor revealed the original sentence, causing laughter among the players and the audience. You can watch the video here:

Although the players have a great bond off the field, CSK’s performance in IPL 2025 hasn’t been smooth. They have won only two out of five matches and are at the bottom of the points table.

MS Dhoni’s brilliance led CSK to end their losing run against LSG

MS Dhoni delivered a classic finishing performance in CSK’s last match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 14. Chasing 167, CSK were struggling at 111/5 after 15 overs when Dhoni came to the crease. The 43-year-old wasted no time, blasting an unbeaten 26 off 11 balls. Dhoni’s quickfire knock guided CSK to a five-wicket victory in the final over.

For his match-winning performance, Dhoni was named Player of the Match, marking his first IPL award since 2019. This thrilling win ended CSK’s longest losing streak of five matches, setting them up for their crucial clash against MI.

Although mostly batting in the final overs, Dhoni has been in superb form this season, scoring 130 runs at an average of over 43 and a strike rate of 158.53 in seven games. Dhoni also led CSK in the last two matches after regular captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out of the tournament due to an elbow injury.
