[WATCH] Virat Kohli’s Intense Celebration After Run-Out Sparks Buzz

In a thrilling IPL 2025 encounter between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Virat Kohli once again stole the spotlight—this time with a fierce celebration. The moment occurred when a disastrous mix-up between PBKS batters Nehal Wadhera and Josh Inglis led to a comical yet costly run-out.

Both batters found themselves stranded at the same end of the pitch while attempting a straightforward single. Kohli, positioned at cover, acted swiftly and coordinated with Tim David to complete the dismissal, sending Wadhera back to the pavilion for just 5 runs. What followed was an intense glare from Kohli aimed at Wadhera, capped by a fiery send-off gesture that quickly made rounds on social media.

Punjab’s Promising Start Derails Midway

PBKS had begun their innings on a positive note with a blazing opening partnership between Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh. The duo added a quick 42 runs for the first wicket, giving the side early momentum. However, things took a turn for the worse after their dismissals.

The middle-order failed to sustain the pressure, with Shreyas Iyer scoring just 6 and Wadhera departing soon after. The miscommunication between Wadhera and Inglis not only cost them a wicket but also highlighted PBKS’s lack of coordination and composure. The batting order crumbled under pressure, and despite brief flashes of brilliance, PBKS couldn’t fully recover, ending with a modest total of 157/6 in their 20 overs.

Toss Decisions and Captain’s Strategies

Earlier in the match, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar opted to bowl first after winning the toss, stating that batting second would provide better clarity on the conditions. His tactical decision appeared to pay off, especially given RCB’s clinical bowling performance.

PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer revealed he too had wanted to bowl first, emphasizing the need to adapt to match situations and understand pitch behavior. This match held additional significance for PBKS as they had recently defeated RCB and were aiming to repeat their success. Unfortunately, their batting collapse and the mix-up leading to Wadhera’s run-out derailed their plans, giving RCB the upper hand in this crucial clash.
