SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) have taken a break from the IPL 2025 season and traveled to the Maldives for a vacation. Their trip comes after a five-wicket win over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk on April 25. On Saturday, the franchise shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing the players arriving in the Maldives.
Dressed in casual outfits, they received a warm welcome upon their arrival. The video also featured glimpses of a scenic beach towards the end.
“Sun, sea, and a team retreat for our Risers in the Maldives! 🏖️✈️,” they captioned the post.

SRH are set to face Gujarat Titans (GT) in their next match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday, May 2. The players will look to make the most of their brief vacation and come back refreshed to continue their IPL 2025 campaign.
Is there still a chance for SRH to reach the IPL 2025 playoffs?
SRH‘s campaign has been far from ideal this season. They started with a convincing 44-run win over Rajasthan Royals (RR), scoring 286 runs, giving the impression that they were continuing from where they left off last season.
However, their momentum faltered as they suffered four consecutive losses against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), and Gujarat Titans.
They bounced back with a win against Punjab Kings (PBKS), but were then defeated twice by Mumbai Indians (MI) before securing a recent victory over CSK. Currently, Hyderabad finds themselves in a tough spot with just three wins and six losses from nine matches.
With six points, they sit in eighth place on the points table. To have a chance at qualification, they must win all of their remaining five matches to reach 16 points. A single defeat in these matches could end their playoff aspirations, leaving them with no margin for error in every game ahead.
