BCCI Shifts Locations For India’s 2025 Series vs WI And SA

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made adjustments to the venues for India’s upcoming home series against West Indies and South Africa, scheduled for October and November this year. The second Test, originally set to be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, will now take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Conversely, the first Test of the South Africa series, initially planned for Delhi, has been shifted to Kolkata. Additionally, the three one-day matches involving the South Africa A team have been relocated from Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium to the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

In a statement, BCCI stated: “Team India (Senior Men) will be facing West Indies and South Africa across Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at home, with the IDFC First Bank Test series against West Indies starting on 2nd October 2025 in Ahmedabad.”

“The 2nd Test against West Indies, originally slated for Kolkata, will now be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Meanwhile, the 1st Test against South Africa, starting November 14, 2025, has been shifted from New Delhi to Eden Gardens in Kolkata.”

“The South Africa Men’s A Team will face India A in two multi-day matches and three one-day games, starting October 30, 2025. The three one-day games have been moved from M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot,” it added.

West Indies Tour Of India:

1st Test: October 2-6 in Ahmedabad

2nd Test: October 10-14 in New Delhi

South Africa Tour Of India:

1st Test: Nov 14-18 in Kolkata

2nd Test: Nov 22-26 in Guwahati

The fixtures for the ODI and T20I series will go ahead as originally planned. As for the South Africa A tour of India, the three one-day matches are set to be played in Rajkot on November 13, 16, and 19. Meanwhile, the Australia Men’s A team will play their three one-dayers in Kanpur, scheduled for September 30, October 3, and 5.
