MI All-Rounder Trains At Lord’s Ahead Of 3rd England vs India Test

Mumbai Indians (MI) bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar was recently seen at Team India’s practice session at Lord’s, ahead of the third Test against England. His last on-field appearance came during IPL 2025, where he represented MI in May. After spending seven seasons with Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Chahar made a switch to MI, who bought him for ₹9.25 crore during the mega auction in December.

In his debut season with the Mumbai franchise, he featured in 14 matches, claiming 11 wickets. Following a short break from competitive cricket, Chahar was spotted at Lord’s on Wednesday (July 9), interacting with Indian players during their training. The third Test of the ongoing five-match series, currently tied at 1-1, begins on Thursday (July 10).

A user on platform X shared a couple of pictures of Chahar at the iconic venue, offering fans a sneak peek into his presence. You can watch the video here:

“Prasidh might have to make way for Bumrah” – Aakash Chopra ahead of 3rd Test

Former cricketer Aakash Chopra recently shared his thoughts on the upcoming Lord’s Test, suggesting that Prasidh Krishna could be dropped to make room for Jasprit Bumrah. He predicted that Bumrah may take the new ball alongside Akash Deep, who stood out in the previous match. Meanwhile, Mohammed Siraj might be used with the older ball in the revised bowling combination.

Speaking on his YouTube channel ‘Aakash Chopra’, the former opener stated:

“If Bumrah comes in, who will go out? You are, of course, looking at a bowler to go out. The straightforward thing will be that Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep will remain. Akash Deep will have the new ball in his hand, and Jasprit Bumrah will be there with him. Siraj will be one change.”

“Siraj bowls very well with the old ball, Akash Deep seems to be a new-ball bowler, and Jassi is Jassi. With him coming in, we become very powerful. I am seeing only one change in the bowling department. Prasidh Krishna will have to go out, and Bumrah will come in,” Chopra added.
