Afghanistan T20I captain Rashid Khan revealed the two Indian cricketers whose social media content he enjoys the most ahead of the 2025 Asia Cup. In a lighthearted conversation with ESPNCricinfo, the star spinner mentioned that he particularly enjoys the posts shared by Shikhar Dhawan and Yuzvendra Chahal.
Both Dhawan and Chahal frequently share amusing reels on their social media platforms. Chahal is especially active during IPL seasons, posting funny videos alongside his teammates, while Dhawan has recently been sharing reels featuring his Ireland-born girlfriend, Sophie Shine, who is learning Hindi.
In a video shared by ESPNCricinfo, Rashid responded when asked about the cricketers whose social media posts he finds most entertaining:
“I quite like Yuzi’s [Yuzvendra Chahal] videos, sometimes. They’re so funny. Shikhar Paaji [Dhawan] is always bringing that fun into social media. So yeah, these two.”
When questioned about who he considers the best cricketer of the past 25 years, the leg-spinner singled out Indian great Virat Kohli. He praised Kohli for revolutionizing the game with his relentless drive for success and his disciplined fitness routine. He further added:
“Virat [Kohli] is someone who has totally changed the whole game. Not only scoring so many runs but mentally how strong you should be and fitness-wise, I think Virat is right at the top.”

When questioned about the turning point in his career, 26-year-old Rashid Khan credited his IPL stint for giving him the confidence and self-belief to perform on the game’s biggest stages. He added:
“Playing in the IPL. At such an early stage, I played in the IPL and that has given me so much positive energy and confidence and belief to deliver that big a stage. I think all the belief and everything started from there. So, the 2017 IPL was a big turning point of my career.”
