India’s premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah made an immediate impact by removing Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris for a low score in his very first over of Match 6 of the Asia Cup 2025. The high-stakes encounter is taking place on Sunday, September 14, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
The dismissal came on the second ball of the second over of Pakistan’s innings. Bumrah delivered a back-of-a-length ball that Haris tried to loft over the on-side, but he mistimed it badly. The ball went high in the air, allowing Hardik Pandya to charge in from fine leg and take a well-judged catch, handing Bumrah an early breakthrough.

The right-handed batter endured a brief and disappointing stay at the crease, managing just three runs off five balls. His wicket left Pakistan struggling at 6/2 within just 1.2 overs.
Bumrah And Pandya Strike Early To Give India A Dominant Start
Pakistan captain Salman Agha won the toss and opted to bat first. India made an immediate impact as Hardik Pandya struck with the first legal delivery of the match, dismissing Saim Ayub for a duck to give the Men in Blue a commanding start.
Jasprit Bumrah continued the pressure in his opening over, removing Mohammad Haris for just three runs and putting Pakistan further on the back foot. Since then, the Men in Green have been working to stabilize their innings, reaching 26/2 after four overs, with Fakhar Zaman (10) and Sahibzada Farhan (9) holding the crease.
