India U19 cricketers got a memorable treat when ODI captain Rohit Sharma engaged in a heartfelt session with them at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. The “Hitman,” last seen in IPL 2025, is gearing up for the upcoming ODI series against Australia, marking his anticipated return to international cricket.
On Saturday, the BCCI shared images of Sharma interacting with the young talents, including Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Through social media, the board highlighted that the India captain imparted valuable life lessons and shared insights from his cricketing journey with the U19 squad.
The India U19 team had most recently toured England, where Mhatre’s side won the ODI series 3-2 and drew both red-ball matches. Mhatre topped the batting charts with 340 runs in four innings, including two centuries, while Suryavanshi shone with 355 runs across the five-match ODI series.

Mhatre’s upcoming challenge as U19 captain is the series against Australia, starting September 21, which will feature three ODIs and two multi-day matches.
