However, Tilak Varma changed the script by hanging firm alongside Sanju Samson, who contributed 24 runs. Their 57 runs in 50 balls gave India a solid footing.
The game tilted towards India when Tilak Varma and Shivam Dube shared a crucial 60-run partnership off 40 balls. Dube was attacking, including clearing the ropes with a six off Haris Rauf to release pressure from India. Till the end, Tilak Varma was unbeaten with 69 runs off 53 balls and hit a six in the last over for the victory.
Rinku Singh sealed it with a boundary off his first ball, delivering India their ninth Asia Cup title. The composed batting by Tilak Varma and four wickets by Kuldeep Yadav were the cause of India’s victory.

The Indian batters were in trouble after losing their top order for 20 runs in the power play. However, Samson, Varma, and Dube policed the innings very well and eventually won it for India. After the win, Dube and Varma said that the Pakistan players were making some verbal comments, so instead of answering with words, the batsmen decided to go with the language of the bat.
“I think my bat did the talking, so they didn’t get a chance to speak, that’s it,” said Shivam Dube.
Replying to him, Tilak Varma said, “I am also of the same opinion, they were saying a lot from the start, I just showed them with the bat, they aren’t visible on the field now.”
Despite having defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025, the Indian team returned home without any trophy. After waiting eagerly for the presentation of trophies, they came to a realization that it was Pakistan Cricket Association (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi who would be ready to hand it over to the winners.
