
Team India opener Abhishek Sharma visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar to seek blessings ahead of the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia. The series will kick off in Canberra on October 29. Taking a short break before the games, Abhishek went to the famous gurdwara with his sister Komal Sharma and brother-in-law Lovish Oberoi.

On the cricketing front, Abhishek Sharma was in sensational form during the 2025 Asia Cup, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with 314 runs in seven innings at an impressive strike rate of 200. His contributions helped the Suryakumar Yadav-led team secure a five-wicket victory over Pakistan in the final.
For his explosive batting performances, Abhishek was named Player of the Tournament. He most recently appeared in India A’s three-match One-Day series against Australia A, playing in the final two games and scoring 0 and 22 runs respectively.

Abhishek Sharma has recently begun preparing for the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia. The left-handed batter was spotted training under the guidance of Indian cricket icon Yuvraj Singh, who has been a key mentor in his career. Abhishek Sharma is currently at the top of the ICC T20I batting rankings with a rating of 926. During the 2025 Asia Cup, he had reached a career-high 931 points, the highest ever in T20Is. So far in his Team India career, the southpaw has scored 849 runs in 23 T20I innings at an impressive strike rate of 196.07, including two centuries and five half-centuries.
